The Story of Teleosis

Teleosis was founded in 1996 in New York by Joel Kreisberg, DC, CCH*, who was a teacher before becoming a chiropractor and homeopath. He worked with Harvard Medical School’s Director of Faculty Development to apply their progressive model of student-centered active learning to homeopathy.

Based on his many years of practicing yoga and meditation, Dr. Kreisberg incorporated self-awareness and personal growth practices into the curriculum. Group meditation exercises help us to be more receptive in our classroom learning and with our patients.

In 2003 Joel stepped down as Director to pursue his vision of Ecologically Sustainable Medicine. The current Director, Begabati Lennihan, RN, CCH*, also brings many years of experience in teaching and meditation to her practise and teaching of homeopathy. She has moved the school to Boston, where it meets at two different university locations.
